Description
Junichi Kijima wields considerable political power as a minister holding multiple portfolios, bolstered by familial ties to his father-in-law, a former prime minister. Persistent rumors shadow his public standing, yet he consistently suppresses them before they escalate into formal incidents. He repeatedly leverages his influence to conceal and mitigate the criminal activities of his son Yohei Kijima, including shoplifting, arson, and assault. While actively enabling Yohei's behavior through high-level interventions—such as obstructing justice via connections in institutions like the Metropolitan Police Office—Junichi simultaneously displays moderate personal concern over his son's actions. This creates an internal tension between paternal duty and the systematic abuse of authority to shield family interests. His actions culminate in a direct clash with law enforcement, particularly Inspector Kengo Akechi, who confronts the systemic protection Junichi provides.
