Description
Osamu Tezuka manifests within this narrative as a fictionalized self, retaining an eternally youthful appearance despite his real-world stature as a seminal creator. On New Year's Eve 2000, he arrives at a mansion gathering hosted by Dr. Tenma, intending to celebrate with the multitude of characters born from his creative universe. Before festivities commence, he vanishes inexplicably from a locked room, circumstances hinting at kidnapping and igniting the central mystery. This disappearance mobilizes his characters—including Astro Boy, Black Jack, Sapphire, and others—to investigate and locate him. Tezuka's absence serves as the story's catalyst, underscoring his role as the originator and the connective fabric of his "star system," where recurring designs traverse different stories like actors in varied roles. His vanishing and eventual return form a symbolic tribute to his legacy. The narrative concludes with him rejoining the assembled characters for a toast welcoming the new year and century, affirming his foundational role in unifying his creations. This portrayal is exclusive to this special narrative.
