Description
Medhi is a main protagonist in the story, first appearing as a classmate of Masato Oosuki at the in-game school. She is a beta tester of the game, a teenage girl with shoulder-length blue hair and blue eyes, and she initially presents herself as kind, sweet, and hardworking. Beneath this polite facade, however, Medhi harbors a cynical and darker inner monologue, a duality shaped by the extreme pressure her strict mother places on her. Her mother, often referred to as Medhimama, constantly interferes in her life to ensure Medhi succeeds at every task, leaving Medhi little room to express her true feelings or make her own choices. Medhi’s primary motivations are a desire to make genuine friends, to be recognized for her own abilities rather than as her mother’s daughter, and to break free from the constraints of that overbearing relationship. She joins Masato’s party as a healer, and her role in the group is that of a highly skilled cleric and dark mage. Notable for never using attack magic, Medhi instead relies on her powerful healing and dark magic, as well as a signature physical move known as the Yakuza Kick. Her abilities are so potent that she is considered a prodigy among her peers. Key relationships include her complicated feelings for Masato, whose relative freedom and doting mother she finds both enviable and frustrating; her evolving bond with Mamako, who confronts Medhimama’s parenting style and helps Medhi finally express her pent-up anger; and her initially dismissive attitude toward Porta and Wise, whom she later comes to accept as comrades. Medhi’s development is marked by a resolution with her mother that allows her true personality to emerge: she becomes more mischievous, playful, and openly caring, though she retains her sharp wit and occasional cynicism. Throughout the story, she learns to assert her own identity and build friendships based on trust rather than performance.
