Miya (spelled ミヤ in katakana) is a female kappa, a mythological water creature from Japanese folklore, featured in the *Jewelpet* franchise. She has blue eyes and short pink hair that gradients to purple. A green shell rests on her back, and she wears an outfit resembling a sailor uniform. Miya first appears in episode 11 of *Jewelpet Magical Change*. At first, she tries to frighten people. Later, she performs on stage but fails to captivate the audience. The Jewelpets step in to help her with a dance routine, frequently changing her outfits during the performance. Sakutarō Kirara, a human character, reveals her identity as a kappa, causing her embarrassment. Despite this, she shows kindness by rescuing the Jewelpet Larimar from a river, resulting in a friendship between them.
