Description
Jean-Pierre Zylberstein, a Parisian pâtissier, crafts unique and impeccable desserts. He possesses long, curly blond hair and wears a distinctive ensemble: a top hat with a large red rose, a white overall shirt featuring red accents and a bow, white pants, and brown boots. Under external influence, his eyes shift blue with star-shaped pupils, and multicolored blobs cover his lower body.

Intensely passionate about pastry, he rejects trends and prefers solitude, strictly enforcing a "no apprenticeship" rule. He made an exception only for the fairy siblings Kirarin and Pikario, offering them shelter when they were homeless. Though kind, Jean-Pierre can be critical and blunt, often unaware his words wound others, as when he expressed disappointment in Kirarin (later Ciel Kirahoshi) over her diminished skills, deeply hurting her. Financial hardship, stemming from his unconventional style, led to poverty and penny-pinching habits like refusing to replace a broken lightbulb or pay workshop rent.

His behavior shifted over time. Previously more rational and compassionate, evident in sheltering Kirarin and Pikario, he became isolated after their departures—Pikario left abruptly and Kirarin was recruited by Solaine. He later encountered Cook, a being trapped in an ancient recipe, appointing her as his assistant, unaware of her manipulative nature. Cook exploited his growing obsession with the "Ultimate Sweet," amplifying his eccentricities and distancing him from his former self.

During the patisserie competition in *Crisply! The Memory of Mille-feuille!*, Jean-Pierre reunites with Ciel. He acts aloof, noting she feels unfamiliar due to her lost skills. Under Cook's increasing influence, he grows unhinged and collaborates on the Ultimate Sweet. Cook pushes him into the batter, fusing him with the sweet and brainwashing him, causing widespread chaos in Paris. The Pretty Cure team, led by Cure Parfait (Ciel), enters the fused sweet to rescue him. Parfait breaks his brainwashing by offering a mille-feuille she baked and advises him to accept apprentices to grow as a chef. Persuaded, he accepts her counsel and smiles before collapsing from exhaustion.

Afterwards, Jean-Pierre revamps his workshop. He encounters a reincarnated Cook, now a young girl observing his work. Unaware of her past identity but heeding Ciel's advice, he invites her inside as his new apprentice.

Trivia notes include his surname "Zylberstein" being of Yiddish origin, his unintentional role in teaching Kirarin the phrase "Très Bien!," and his preference for calling Ciel "Kirarin" due to knowing her fairy form first. His experimental desserts once caused Kirarin and Pikario to literally "barf rainbows."
