Zen Ogawa is one of five human survivors stranded aboard the starship Good Luck after a malfunction during a routine flight. The malfunction propelled the ship through a wormhole, wiping out most of the crew while Zen and the others remained in suspended animation. Crash-landed on Electronic Planet B-1, the ship's systems awakened four survivors—Luke Stewart, Akira Amachi, Mia White, and Patricia Longfellow—but Zen remained unconscious during their initial escape. He awoke later to find the ship overrun by hostile Gurendos forces. Discovering Patricia Longfellow captured by the Gurendos, Zen freed her despite the ongoing threat. Luke Stewart and Akira Amachi, returning to the ship with a White Thunder team led by Machine Robo Mach Blaster, subsequently rescued both Zen and Patricia. During this rescue, Akira retrieved the ship's black box, revealing the disaster's full extent to the survivors. Zen's known involvement in the conflict between the Algo Republic and the Gurendos is confined to these events. An unused production concept suggested Zen and Patricia might be reincarnations of characters from the prequel series *Revenge of Cronos*, though this idea was discarded in the final narrative.
