Description
Kimanjirou Inugane leads the Inugane yakuza group. After a major failure by three subordinates—Kentarou Yamamoto, Ryo Tachibana, and Kazuhiko Sugihara—he offers them a stark choice: commit seppuku with organ harvesting, or undergo gender reassignment surgery in Thailand and redebut as a female idol group. They choose the latter, becoming Airi, Mari, and Chika, known collectively as the Gokudols.

As the Gokudols' producer and manager, Inugane oversees their training and career with strict, often violent authority. He personally writes their lyrics and enforces rigorous standards for their public image, imposing physical punishment for perceived failures like skin imperfections or unprofessional behavior. To further refine the group's presentation, he hires professional idol manager Mandarin Kinoshita, though he remains directly involved.

Despite his harsh methods, Inugane demonstrates loyalty. He intervenes in a crisis where the Gokudols' associates are kidnapped, rescuing the hostages and incapacitating the antagonist, Koizumi. He later expresses pride in the Gokudols for embodying both yakuza resilience and idol success, reinforcing their dual identities. His relationship with his wife, former enka singer Natsuko Tanaka, involves devotion despite her disdain for idols.

Across adaptations, Inugane's backstory lacks detailed exploration. His role consistently depicts him as a yakuza leader focused on managing the Gokudols. His personality shows decisiveness and control, exemplified when he subjects Koizumi to the same surgery-and-idol-training punishment originally inflicted on the trio. No significant character development is documented; his role remains enforcing authority over the Gokudols while displaying protectiveness, such as mentoring Airi Yamamoto or ensuring the group's success against threats.
