Description
Irina Jelavić, a Serbian assassin hired by Japan to eliminate Korosensei, infiltrates Kunugigaoka Junior High as Class 3-E's English teacher. Her traumatic past includes witnessing her parents' murder during a Serbian civil conflict and killing their attacker at age twelve. Found wandering in ruins, assassins Lovro and Olga Brovski adopted and trained her.
Presenting initially as arrogant and calculating ("Bitch-sensei"), she masked deep social immaturity and insecurity stemming from her unconventional assassin upbringing. Her early teaching relied on manipulation and harsh tactics, like punishing male students with kisses for wrong answers. Her first assassination attempt on Korosensei failed when he detected her accomplices; humiliation fueled her revenge pursuit.
