Description
Kotoha Hanami begins as Ha-chan, a fairy emerging from the Linkle Smartbook in Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure!. Initially appearing as an infant fairy after a battle with Gamettsu, she behaves like a toddler: playful, moody when displeased, and sleepy after eating, often retreating into the Linkle Smartbook to rest. Her early form has pink hair, turquoise eyes with pink flower accents, and simple fairy attire. She matures physically and mentally through the care of Asahina Mirai and Izayoi Liko, evolving through distinct stages: a toddler with small wings and a curled pigtail, then a young girl with butterfly-like wings and floral-themed clothing, and finally an older girl matching Mirai and Liko's height with larger wings.

Her development accelerates upon absorbing dark energy from Dokurokushe in her final fairy stage, losing some powers and becoming human. Adopting the name Hanami Kotoha—chosen for "word" or "spell" to reflect her magical nature, with the surname "Hanami" (combining "flower" and "sea") selected by Liko—she enrolls as a second-year student at Tsunagi First Middle School in the human world and Magic School in the Magic World. Kotoha struggles with her identity after discovering she is the reincarnation and successor of Mother RaPaPa, inheriting ultimate magical power, causing internal conflict until she accepts her role through positive experiences.

Using the Linkle Stone Emerald and the Flower Echo Wand, Kotoha transforms into Cure Felice, the Pretty Cure of Life. Her transformation phrase is "Felice Fun Fun Flowerle," and her primary attack is Emerald Reincarnation. As Cure Felice, her appearance shifts significantly: light pink knee-length hair styled in braided twin-tails with butterfly and floral accessories, a green and pink floral dress, turquoise heels, and small wings. She gains enhanced abilities, including powering up other Cures' attacks via the Linkle Smartbook. Later, she achieves Alexandrite Style and Heartful Style forms using the Linkle Stone Alexandrite and Rainbow Carriage, enabling group attacks like Extreme Rainbow. Her final evolution as the second Mother RaPaPa features a mature design with a hair bun, braids, a white and green gown, and restored flower eye markings.

Kotoha's personality evolves from a dependent, playful fairy to a cheerful yet mature adolescent influenced by Mirai's curiosity and Liko's diligence. She remains optimistic and trusting, occasionally naive. As Cure Felice, she retains kindness and optimism but exhibits greater composure, occasionally revealing her childish side. Key relationships include viewing Mirai and Liko as maternal figures, considering Mofurun an older sister, and forming a unique bond with Jade, a merman prince, for whom she risks herself to break his curse. She also creates Hisui by separating her magic during an attack; after initial distress over Hisui's disappearance, she accepts Hisui as part of herself upon their reunion.

After defeating Deusmast, Kotoha separates the human and Magic Worlds to oversee them. She reunites with Mirai and Liko years later during events involving Ire, continuing her duties as a guardian bridging both realms.
