Description
Princess Marie Ange, also known as Princess Marie Angelica in certain adaptations, ruled the Splendorius Kingdom, sometimes called the Trump Kingdom. She had long pink hair and blue eyes, and her royal attire featured a gold tiara with a red heart, a blue blouse, a pale blue gown adorned with a heart-shaped gem, and gold earrings.

As the king’s daughter, she lived peacefully until a severe illness struck. Her father, in desperation, used the forbidden Golden Crown of Wisdom to save her, inadvertently unleashing a dark force that transformed him into King Mercenare, or King Jikochuu. After recovering and learning what he had done, she used the Spear of Light to seal him in stone, a act that cost nearly all her power.

When Mercenare forces invaded, she tried to escape through a magical mirror alongside her guardian and close friend, Cure Sword, but separated from her to avoid capture. Cornered by the villain Bel and facing transformation into a Distain, she split her own psyche in two: one half became Regina, born from her love for her father, and the other became Natalie, also called Aguri, born from her love for the people and kingdom. Her physical form then reverted into an egg, which later hatched into the fairy Dina.

This division was irreversible. Her spirit explained that she would live on through these fragmented selves, and she later acknowledged both Regina and Aguri as her true successors, expressing joy that her legacy endured and asking them to care for Dina.

She took pleasure in archery, sculpting, and admiring flowers. Her relationships were meaningful: she shared a sisterly bond with Cure Sword, delighting in her performances, and was engaged to her knight, Sir Jonathan Klondike, also known as Johnny, with whom she shared a deep affection, enjoyed archery contests, and exchanged letters.

In a later novel set after these events, her spirit briefly manifested to thank Aguri and Regina, assuring Regina that her heart was true and she carried the qualities of a Cure.
