Description
Baron Salamander, once a high-ranking Desert Apostle, faced exile by their leader Dune for his relentless pursuit of forbidden knowledge and dominion. Centuries before the central conflict, Dune commanded him to desolate Earth, but the first Pretty Cure warrior, Cure Ange, thwarted his plans, crushing his forces and imprisoning him within Mount Saint-Michel’s abbey. His visage echoes the Phantom of the Opera’s Erik, blending theatrical flair with an enigmatic aura.

Freed accidentally by a boy named Olivier after centuries of confinement, he twisted the child into a surrogate son, dubbing him “Loup-garou” (werewolf). A crimson jewel embedded in Olivier’s brow granted supernatural prowess while eroding his will, binding him as a pawn. Though fleeting gestures hinted at paternal care, their bond centered on manipulation, as the Baron sought to reclaim scattered crystal shards through Olivier to rejuvenate his waning power.

Driven by conviction that neither humanity nor former comrades would embrace him, he orchestrated global annihilation to craft a purified world. During the Paris crisis, he unleashed Desertrians—monsters birthed from withered Heart Flowers—sparring with the Pretty Cure team. A climactic showdown exposed his bitter history with Cure Ange, his centuries-old sealing framed as righteous impetus for nihilistic vengeance.

In his final gambit, he manifested as a draconic entity, only to fall to the united might of the Pretty Cures and a liberated Olivier. The destruction of his core crystal dissolved his physical form, leaving his ultimate end uncertain. His shadow lingered in later events, indirectly fueling Professor Sabaku’s corruption of Yuri Tsukikage’s father via an enchanted mask.

Baron Salamander’s tale intertwines isolation with vengeance’s cyclical grip, veiling vulnerability beneath ruthless ambition. His dynamic with Olivier wove genuine guidance with calculated exploitation, culminating in the boy’s defiant rejection of his legacy—a fragile hope amidst a saga of shattered bonds.
