Description
Felix Cowley, designated Number 21 within the penal unit Squad 422, the Nameless, serves as a Shocktrooper with Lancer secondary training. Born circa 1914 and standing 178 cm tall, he lost his family in the First Europan War as a child. This tragedy sparked his early initiative, forming a local defense unit in his hometown to prevent similar losses. His demonstrated leadership led him to enlist in the Gallian Army. However, after openly disagreeing with and defying orders from a superior officer he deemed incompetent, he was court-martialed for "unruly" conduct and transferred to Squad 422.

Within the Nameless, Felix adopts a protective "big brother" role, deeply committed to safeguarding his comrades as his new family, a direct response to his childhood trauma. He readily voices concerns about Kurt Irving's strategies if they appear excessively risky for the squad, though he respects Kurt as both a person and commander and Kurt's reasoning often persuades him. His protective instinct manifests dramatically when he physically carries an injured squadmate, Giulio Rosso, to safety during a mission despite imminent danger from Imperial reinforcements.

Personality-wise, Felix is bright, personable, honest, reliable, and possesses strong natural leadership that inspires and rallies his male comrades, earning their significant respect. Yet he struggles profoundly to understand women, frequently making unintentionally offensive remarks that alienate his female squadmates. This social shortcoming endures even after the war.

Following the Nameless' disbandment, Felix continued fighting the Empire as a mercenary. He lent his combat expertise to various military organizations and patrol units. His straightforward demeanor and extensive battlefield experience made him a valued ally, though his difficulties in relating to women persisted. His core motivation, driving both military service and mercenary work, remains unwavering: to protect those he considers family, forged by his childhood loss.
