Description
Sueharu Maru is a high school student and former child actor once celebrated as "The Child Actor Prodigy" for his exceptional childhood performances. He possesses average features for the entertainment industry, with a haircut that features longer bangs and side hair compared to the back, and maintains a muscular build.

His personality is kind and honest, often prioritizing others' happiness over his own. However, he struggles with deep-seated low self-esteem, a poor ability to interpret social cues, and emotional impulsiveness. He also displays occasional perverted tendencies, particularly a fixation on breasts, leading to lewd behavior around some female characters.

He witnessed the traumatic death of his mother, an event that caused him to abandon acting at the height of his childhood fame. Despite his withdrawal from the industry, numerous studios and companies continued to pursue him for his unparalleled acting talent.

At the start of high school, he intended to confess his feelings to his first love, Shirokusa Kachi, a childhood friend with whom he had made a promise to create a movie together. After discovering she already had a boyfriend, he was emotionally shattered. This prompted him to accept an offer from his childhood friend and neighbor, Kuroha Shida, to engage in a fake relationship as revenge—unaware that this was part of Kuroha’s own scheme to retaliate for his past rejection of her confession.

His relationships are multifaceted. He depends on his best friend, Tetsuhiko Kai, despite considering him a negative influence. He shares a sibling-like bond with Maria Momosaka, a famous actress he mentored as a child, though he feels no romantic attraction toward her. He is sexually drawn to a schoolmate named Rena Asagi, but she rejects him. He is also close with the Shida family: he relies on Akane Shida for her intelligence and rationality, often teases Midori Shida despite finding her attractive, and sees the family matriarch, Ginko Shida, as a maternal figure after his mother’s passing. His father travels frequently for work but remains in contact.

His development involves navigating these complex relationships and confronting his past. He eventually confesses his feelings to Kuroha during the Confession Festival, but she publicly rejects him as part of her manipulation, despite harboring love for him. This humiliation occurs amid his genuine affection for her. Subsequently, Shirokusa—who had once sought revenge for what she perceived as a broken promise but later abandoned her plan—decides to try to win his love again.

Professionally, he reconnects with acting through Acid Snake, old friends from his child star days, who cast him in the lead role of their music video. He confronts Shun Hardy, the new president of his former talent agency, by punching him for mocking Kuroha and her family. This conflict culminates in a "Commercial Contest" won by his group, leading him to decline rejoining the agency.
