Ha-chan bloomed as a fairy from a flower inside the Linkle Smartbook during the battle against Gamettsu, emerging as an infant into Asahina Mirai's hands. She began as a moody, playful toddler, relying heavily on Mirai and Izayoi Liko for care, often growing sleepy after meals and retreating into the Linkle Smartbook to rest. Early appearances showed her with pink hair, turquoise eyes bearing distinctive pink flower markings, and evolving fairy forms featuring increasingly intricate floral outfits and wings.
Nurtured by Mirai and Liko, she experienced significant physical and emotional growth. Maturing, she adopted the human identity Hanami Kotoha. The name "Hanami" (花海, meaning "flower sea") connected her to a memory of the Fairy Village's flower field, while "Kotoha" (ことは, signifying "word" or "spell") reflected her witch lineage. Her civilian form shed the fairy wings and eye markings, presenting as a middle schooler with shoulder-length pink hair, wearing outfits like a white-and-turquoise ruffled butterfly dress or a winter ensemble with a cream turtleneck and green jacket.
Using the Emerald Linkle Stone and Flower Echo Wand, she transformed into Cure Felice, declaring herself "the Pretty Cure of Life" with the phrase "Spreading blessings to lives far and wide! Cure Felice!" This form restored her flower eye markings and fairy-like traits, lengthening her hair into light-pink braided twin-tails decorated with flowers and butterflies. Her Cure Felice costume integrated nature: a pastel green dress with floral overlays, vine-like ribbons, and the Linkle Smartbook at her hip. Key abilities included empowering allies and executing the "Emerald Reincarnation" purification. Later, she achieved "Alexandrite Style" using the Alexandrite Linkle Stone, featuring a floor-length turquoise gown wrapped in vines and ribbons, and "Heartful Style," gaining angelic wings and a white dress with wing-like ribbons.
Her personality evolved from a toddler's playfulness and mood swings into a cheerful, kind-hearted nature shaped by Mirai's curiosity and Liko's diligence. Despite innate magical talent, she initially misunderstood her powers. Discovering she was the reincarnation of Mother RaPaPa triggered identity conflicts, though she ultimately embraced this role while affirming her individuality through positive memories. As Cure Felice, she displayed greater composure but retained core optimism and moments of childlike spontaneity.
Key relationships defined her journey. She regarded Mirai and Liko as mothers, striving to make them proud. Mofurun became an older sister figure who supported her during emotional turmoil. A unique bond formed with the merman prince Jade; she loved him unconditionally despite his initial hostility, risking herself to break his curse and promising reunion. She later befriended Ono Souta over soccer and created Hisui by separating her magic during an attack, eventually accepting Hisui as part of herself.
In the movie *Kiseki no Henshin! Cure Mofurun!*, she participated in the Grand Magic Festival, befriending a circus dragon. When Dark Matter kidnapped Mofurun and attacked using the dragon, she transformed into Cure Felice to confront it, later recognizing it as the same dragon she met earlier. Her purification magic freed it from Dark Matter's control. She also aided Mirai by lending her broom during the rescue and shared comedic moments with the group over foul-tasting Foulrodo seeds.
Following the series, as the second Mother RaPaPa, she oversaw both the Magic and No Magic Worlds. Reuniting with Mirai and Liko years later in *~MIRAI DAYS~*, she wore an updated civilian outfit and continued her role as guardian of life.
