Dimple is a self-proclaimed upper-class evil spirit with no memories of his human life or identity, recalling only his existence beginning in a cemetery. His oldest memories involve leading a gang of spirits until nearly being exorcised by the powerful evil spirit Mogami. For decades, Dimple pursued godhood, seeking worship from all humanity. Schemes like founding the LOL cult—using hexed masks to force laughter and submission from dozens—aimed to achieve this. Confronting Shigeo Kageyama (Mob), who resisted the hypnosis due to psychic abilities and emotional suppression, led to Dimple's defeat and exorcism when Mob unleashed 100% Rage. He reformed the next day and began haunting Mob, initially plotting to possess his body but gradually shifting toward making Mob a god instead. He manifests as a wispy, greenish cloud of smoke featuring a detailed human-like face with a prominent nose, lips, and signature red circular marks resembling dimples on his cheeks. These marks appear on any human he possesses. He occasionally forms arms or legs but retains his nebulous form unless channeling power, such as during battles where he adopts a humanoid shape with neon-glowing features. Brash and humorous, Dimple uses nicknames like "Shige-chan" for Mob and "Ricchan" for Ritsu until asked to stop. Despite his carefree demeanor, he is perceptive, quickly identifying psychological traits in others—such as Teruki Hanazawa's superiority complex or Ritsu's inferiority complex toward Mob. He possesses extensive knowledge about psychic phenomena, noting the rarity of spirits experiencing sexual desire or the plausibility of dummy-creation powers. Though initially motivated by self-interest, Dimple exhibits genuine concern for Mob, searching for signs of struggle in a burning house and shielding him from traumatic sights. He later admires Mob's humility and moral resolve, acknowledging Mob's philosophy that hard-earned strength surpasses psychic prowess. His relationship with Mob evolves from antagonism to partnership. Following his exorcism, Dimple follows Mob under the pretense of collaboration while secretly planning possession. He assists Mob physically and socially, advising him during misunderstandings like a fake love letter or false popularity. During the Mogami arc, Dimple protects Mob's vacant body and enters Mogami's mental world to restore Mob's memories, fighting Mogami despite being outmatched. By the Separate Ways arc, Dimple openly acknowledges Mob's growth and contentment. However, in the Divine Tree arc, Dimple regresses by siphoning energy to revive his godhood ambitions, establishing the Psycho Helmet religion. Confronted by Mob, Dimple admits his lingering desire for power but refrains from hostile tactics like taking hostages, instead revealing Mob as the cult's true founder—a gesture implying respect. After defeat, he expresses remorse and acknowledges Mob's role in helping him recognize his authentic aspirations. Dimple bonds with Ritsu after accidentally entering the Kageyama home, offering to help control his newly awakened psychic abilities. Their possession partnership ends when Ritsu ejects him. He views Reigen as a fellow "dishonest" figure, noting Reigen's initial inability to see him indicated fraudulence. Their dynamic is marked by mutual disdain, yet they cooperate during crises like the Mogami exorcism. Dimple's powers fluctuate with his spiritual strength. At full capacity, he hypnotizes groups, hexes objects, fires energy beams ("Wraither Beam"), and generates smokescreens. After his initial defeat, his abilities diminish, limiting him to minor poltergeist phenomena or possessing weakened or consenting individuals. He can regenerate from near-total disintegration, as when Teruki Hanazawa reduces him to a "dust mite" size. His possession requires permission from conscious hosts but works freely on unconscious ones, as when he guarded Mob's body during the Mogami conflict.
