Description
Seiko Miyazawa is the 14th head of the underground assassination martial art Nadashinkage-ryu, the "Art of Life and Death." Nicknamed the "Quiet Tiger," his immense strength is tempered by a gentle, disciplined nature that avoids unnecessary violence; this distaste for conflict arises from kindness and wisdom. He intervenes decisively to protect others, like rescuing an art student from assault or disabling an alcoholic's ability to digest alcohol to force positive change. Despite his prowess, he performs small acts of compassion, such as cleaning public restrooms.

As adoptive father to Kiichi Miyazawa, Seiko rigorously trains him to inherit the Nadashinkage-ryu. His methods are stern and harsh, deliberately withholding aid during Kiichi's ailments to build resilience. He emphasizes the style's lethal origins, teaching that compassion can be a weakness in combat. Key training includes guiding Kiichi to master the secret technique Bosatsuken (Fist of Bodhisattva), inducing a near-death state to halt an opponent's heart, and healing injuries beyond conventional medicine, like reversing damage to Kiichi's internal organs. Seiko fasts alongside his son during intensive training in silent solidarity.

Seiko's history features a pivotal death match against pro wrestler Iron Kiba, where he inflicted severe injuries, costing Kiba an eye. This cemented Kiba's lifelong grudge and obsession with destroying Nadashinkage-ryu. The feud escalated as Kiba targeted Seiko's family, leading Seiko to permit Kiichi to fight Kiba's disciples despite compromising the style's secrecy. Seiko later intervened to prevent fatalities, such as knocking out Kiba's ally Funada to stop a fight to the death.

Seiko possesses the rare genetic trait Tiger Foot, granting abnormally tough leg musculature that enhances his devastating kicks. His mastery includes pressure point strikes like Hashin Shou (paralyzing the diaphragm) and Jirai-Satsu (reducing opponent agility by rattling the brain). He wields advanced perception, analyzing physiological weaknesses through subtle cues like iris coloration and employing "inner vision" to sense presences or fight blinded. His techniques extend to creating illusions, such as making opponents hallucinate chains or their own deaths, and redirection skills that deflect attacks, including bullets and shockwaves.

In spin-offs like "Oton," his past expands with conflicts against diverse adversaries, including psychopathic assassins. He demonstrates humility by begging a gang leader to spare a child's life after defeating his men. His appearance features a buzz cut with a distinctive grey streak in later years, often dressed casually or in a black business suit. Despite aging, his combat intellect remains sharp, though he harbors fears like heights and air travel.
