Description
Genshu Ibara is the master of the Gouetsu-ryuu Jujutsu school. He possesses a cruel, egocentric, and violent personality, fundamentally lacking the humility, respect, and discipline expected of martial artists. He fights with excessive sadism, often persisting in his assault even after opponents beg for mercy.
Physically, he is a short, elderly man with a bald head, a mustache, and a deeply wrinkled forehead. He wears a traditional martial arts uniform: a gi jacket, hakama pants, and sandals.
One year prior to the main events, Ibara gravely wounded a defenseless opponent, Shintarou Kakumaru, resulting in imprisonment for attempted murder. Released on probation, he later witnessed a fight between his disciple Shingo Aoi and Kiichi Miyazawa. Interpreting Shingo's loss as a dishonor to Gouetsu-ryuu Jujutsu, Ibara casually broke Shingo's arm for failing the school.
He subsequently sought a confrontation with Seiko Miyazawa. However, his mocking references to crippling Shintarou and his violent actions toward Shingo prompted Seiko to refuse physical combat. Instead, Seiko incapacitated Ibara using a specialized technique described as a "death stare." This encounter concluded his direct involvement.
