Description
Leo Saionji, a student at Edel Rose Academy within Kakyoin Academy, aspires to become a Prism Star. He has a petite, feminine appearance with pink hair and fuchsia eyes, standing 158 cm tall. Born on April 4 in Sapporo, his parents are mascot designers who fostered a gender-neutral upbringing. This led Leo to enjoy traditionally feminine activities like dress-up and cute aesthetics without initial awareness of gender concepts. Elementary school bullying targeting his femininity caused him to withdraw. His older sisters, Kirari and Yurari, blamed themselves for his struggles, influencing Leo to enroll at Edel Rose aiming to become more "masculine" to ease their concerns.

At Edel Rose, Leo admires Yukinojo Tachibana as a mentor, valuing Yukinojo’s expertise in balancing femininity and masculinity through kabuki. He frequently seeks Yukinojo’s guidance on becoming "manly," though these attempts often falter. Leo experiences jealousy when other students, particularly Louis Kisaragi, grow close to Shin Ichijo; he sometimes waits for Shin after outings to ensure no girls were present. Leo designs and sews performance outfits, creating Taiga Kougami’s attire for the Prism King Cup and all solo costumes for Septentrion during the Prism 1 Grand Prix. He also bakes sweets and cooks for peers.

Leo’s journey centers on self-acceptance. When his sisters visit Edel Rose, he tries acting traditionally masculine to impress them, confiding in classmates about his bullying history and desire to change. Learning his sisters plan to abandon their fashion design dreams, Leo resolves not to sacrifice his own Prism Star aspiration. This culminates in his participation in the Miss Kakyoin Contest, where he crossdresses and wins first place by performing a Prism Show, symbolizing acceptance of his gender-nonconforming identity.

As a Prism Star, Leo performs "Twinkle☆Twinkle" and uses "Prism Change" to alter outfits mid-performance. His signature jumps include "Metamorphosis of Love and Mystery" and "Lion Heart Flower." During the Prism 1 Grand Prix, his solo earns 7,890 karats, contributing to Edel Rose’s initial lead. He is a member of Septentrion (formerly Edel Rose 7 Stars), performing "Nanairo Chikai -Brilliant Oath-" in the competition’s final act. Leo admires female Prism Star Otoha Takanashi and covered the duet "ALIVE"—originally by Otoha and Ito Suzuno—alongside Yu Suzuno. His name "Leo," meaning "lion," reflects his parents’ wish for him to develop a strong heart.
