OVA
Description
Josette Capua hails from the once-noble Capua family of Erebonia, who lost their wealth and status to merchant deceit. Left only with their servants and modified airship, the Bobcat, the family turned to sky banditry in the Liberl Kingdom. She is the youngest sibling and only sister to brothers Don and Kyle Capua.
Introduced under the alias Josette Haar, she posed as a Jenis Royal Academy student researching Liberlian culture in Rolent to steal the Esmelas Crystal from Mayor Klaus's safe. Bracers defeated her during the escape, but Kyle rescued her via the Bobcat. After Don, manipulated by external forces, hijacked the airliner Linde, the family was arrested and imprisoned at Leiston Fortress following a clash with Liberl's Royal Army. Granted conditional release to participate in the Martial Arts Tournament, the Capuas were defeated but later escaped incarceration with Joshua Bright's aid.
Josette exhibits a brash, tomboyish personality and often obscures her true feelings. She harbors a significant crush on Joshua, fueling a recurring rivalry with Estelle Bright, whom she frequently insults as "the brainless one." Despite this, she demonstrates caring and managerial qualities within her family, acting as their information gatherer. Subordinates affectionately call her "young lady." She possesses domestic skills at odds with her rough exterior, excelling at cooking and maintaining cleanliness aboard the male-dominated Bobcat. Her vivid blue hair and green eyes accompany an appearance that evolved from a green shirt, fur-lined jacket, and fingerless gloves to longer hair with a different jacket and skirt later. She wields an orbal pistol modified to fire flares.
In Trails in the Sky SC, the Capuas allied with Joshua to retrieve the Bobcat from the Liberl Army, engaging in operations against Ouroboros. Josette worried about Joshua's well-being and offered him a place with the sky bandits. When the Bobcat crashed on the Liber Ark due to an orbal shutdown effect and her brothers were captured, she was rescued by Estelle's group. Josette joined them to infiltrate the Glorious and free her family, becoming a playable character. Queen Alicia later pardoned the Capuas and settled their debts. They transitioned to running the legitimate Capua Delivery Service, with Josette as manager and accountant, operating newer airships like the Bobcat II.
During Trails in the Sky the 3rd, Josette was summoned into Phantasma, reuniting with party members and confronting insecurities manifested as grimoires of her brothers. Her Erebonia ties resurfaced later. At Heimdallr's summer festival, she interacted with childhood acquaintances Ferris and Alisa, revealing her noble past. The Capua Delivery Service aided various factions: Josette transported groups near Tangram Gate, assisted Class VII's escape from the Black Workshop, participated in the battle against the Glorious, and supported the assault on the Salt Pale crisis. She attended Olivert and Scherazard's wedding reception. In Reverie, she delivered goods to Jingo in Heimdallr, who noted Josette's value as logistical support.
