Description
Smoke Sniper is a Generation 1 Decepticon from the *Transformers: Robot Masters* continuity, renowned as the "Magic-Bullet Marksman." He boasts exceptional long-range accuracy, capable of striking targets from 50 km away while traveling at Mach 2.5. Despite these preeminent skills, he holds a low rank due to modesty and a lack of desire for fame. He maintains a cool demeanor but possesses a softhearted side, drawing occasional criticism from fellow Decepticons. This perceived vulnerability is offset by his partnership with the time-displaced Gigant Bomb, whose intimidating presence discourages disparagement.

His most significant narrative role centers on his alliance with Gigant Bomb. The duo frequently collaborates to gather solitarium, a potent energy source. During one mission in ancient ruins, they intercepted Autobot leader Star Saber. After initially overpowering him, they combined into the super-aircraft Gigant Sniper to escalate the threat. The arrival of Victory Leo, combining with Star Saber to form Victory Saber, forced their retreat. In a later encounter, solitarium-enhanced, they ambushed and defeated Mirage and Bound Rogue, then overwhelmed Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal. Once again, Victory Saber intervened, surgically removing the solitarium from Gigant Bomb and driving them off.

The partnership extends to larger Decepticon operations. Smoke Sniper joined Gigant Bomb, Beast Megatron, and Air Hunter to observe a battle between a manipulated Lio Convoy and other Autobot leaders. When Lio Convoy regained his senses, coordinated Autobot attacks scattered the Decepticons. He was also present when Air Hunter announced the original Megatron's return, prompting the group to abandon their base. In a final confrontation, Smoke Sniper and Gigant Bomb engaged Victory Saber as Gigant Sniper for days before their defeat resulted in Gigant Bomb being sent back to his original timeline.

In animated depictions, Smoke Sniper and Gigant Bomb pursued Optimus Prime through a canyon until Star Saber intervened, allowing Prime to confront Beast Megatron. They retreated after Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal's "Double Prime Tornado" repelled Beast Megatron. During a city battle, Megatron used the combined Gigant Sniper mode as a chariot to chase Optimus Prime. Lio Convoy dislodged Megatron, and Victory Saber forcibly separated the pair. In a separate 3D diorama manga incident, Beast Megatron dispatched them to attack Autobots assisting with the Athens Olympics. Outnumbered, they abandoned their mission and were compelled to clean up the resulting damage.

Physically, Smoke Sniper transforms into a fighter jet of indeterminate design. His design originates from a redeco of the Generation 2 Decepticon Smokescreen mold, featuring retooled hands and leg mounts to accommodate smaller "solitarium weapons" like his unique non-firing double-barreled blaster, the "Radial Pod." This weapon combines with Gigant Bomb’s "Pulverizer." He also wields two spring-loaded rocket launchers that convert to hand weapons in robot mode. A critical function is his ability to combine with Gigant Bomb’s vehicle mode to form Gigant Sniper, a large stealth bomber. While this mold was previously used for several characters, Smoke Sniper is the only iteration sold separately from a larger counterpart.
