Description
Professor Isaac Gilmore is a human scientist formerly affiliated with the global terrorist organization Black Ghost. He contributed to their project developing cybernetically enhanced soldiers, the 00 Cyborgs. Gilmore joined Black Ghost either under deception or willingly as a researcher, but later experienced a moral crisis. This shift occurred when Black Ghost ignored his safety protocols, resulting in a near-fatal heart failure for Cyborg 005 due to an inferior heart model. Gilmore defected and orchestrated the escape of the nine 00 Cyborgs with Cyborg 001's aid.

After their escape, Gilmore became the primary ally and mentor to the 00 Cyborgs, acting as their father figure. He maintains their cybernetics, repairs injuries, and develops upgrades, such as enhancing Cyborg 009's Accelerator module for near-light-speed capability. His expertise in cybernetics, engineering, and other scientific fields allows him to devise advanced technology and analytical solutions for missions.

Gilmore blends wisdom and kindness with occasional quick-tempered reactions. He maintains a protective, paternal relationship with the cyborgs, advising them strategically on Black Ghost operations, scientific anomalies, and global investigations. He leverages his scientific network for intelligence gathering.

During the "Cyborg 009 vs. Devilman" crossover, Gilmore supports the 00 Cyborgs against demonic forces and a new faction of Black Ghost-engineered adversaries, the High-Teen Number Cyborgs, continuing his role as scientific advisor and moral anchor.

Physically, Gilmore appears as a man in his mid-60s with spiky grey hair combed backward, black eyes, and a prominent bulbous nose. He typically wears a brown suit, signature oversized red bow tie, brown pants, and dark brown shoes, maintaining a consistent appearance.

Gilmore's history includes implications of traumatic experiences; antagonist Skull's taunts imply he may have been a Holocaust survivor, though this is not explicitly confirmed in all continuities. His enduring conflict with Black Ghost positions him as a foil to their arms-dealing ideology, emphasizing his commitment to redeeming his past by protecting the cyborgs and humanity.
