Description
Mitsuru Kamekura, operating under the alias Meruka Kuramitsu, hails from the *Kara no Kyoukai* narrative. At fourteen, rejecting a life predetermined by his supernatural gift, he adopted a comic-book pseudonym and became a professional bomber specializing in property destruction. His arsenal featured incendiary devices and chemical explosives, crafted from accessible materials like aluminum powder, iron oxide, fertilizers, and engine oil. These bombs served primarily as instruments of disruption rather than death, enabling him to vanish into crowds after each detonation.

His power manifested as a unique precognition called "calculation of the future." His right eye perceived specific future outcomes—such as test answers or bomb explosions—while his left eye projected the exact actions needed to achieve them. This mechanistic process eliminated uncertainty, locking the foreseen future into inevitability if he followed the visualized path. Kamekura perceived himself as a "robot" enslaved to this ability, devoid of free will or emotional investment in the results. Direct observation of the target location was necessary to cement the future; attempting to predict outcomes where he wasn't physically present introduced variables based on contingencies.

During the 1998 Möbius Ring incident, Kamekura encountered Shiki Ryougi after she witnessed him completing a bombing. Identifying her as a threat, he resolved to kill her. He orchestrated multiple attacks: a flashbang at a construction site, an incendiary landmine near a café, a timed demolition device in an abandoned building, and a truck-based incendiary bomb on a bridge. Shiki evaded each attempt. His final trap deployed three shrapnel-packed pipe bombs within a parking garage, designed to guarantee her death. However, Shiki analyzed his ability, recognizing his "calculated future" possessed a tangible form vulnerable to her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. By "killing" the future he foresaw, she caused his bombs to malfunction. During their confrontation, she permanently damaged his right eye, severing his precognitive abilities. This loss left him unable to predict or control outcomes, exemplified by a delayed detonation that led to his capture.

A decade later, during Möbius Link, Kamekura appears near age twenty-five. Severely indebted to a criminal syndicate connected to Shiki, he faced financial ruin. Mana Ryougi, Shiki’s daughter, intervened by recommending him for a position at Mikiya Kokutou’s detective agency. Kamekura acknowledged Mana as his "savior" for securing this opportunity, which allowed him to repay his debts. He worked primarily conducting background checks and occasional field investigations while maintaining a parallel career as a children’s book author. His inherent pessimism persisted, though frequent interactions with the energetic Mana provided an inadvertent counterbalance, diverting him from depressive tendencies.

His bombing activities ceased entirely after losing his powers. His later life settled into routine office work, where Mana often visited to read or converse. He occasionally assisted Mana with personal requests, such as approaching Shiki regarding the fortune-teller operating in Mifune City.
