Description
Freezen hails from the Dotsuku Zone, serving the Dark King alongside his brother Frozen. Together, they act as the main antagonists in their debut film, driven by a profound hatred of warmth and the goal to destroy Hinata, the phoenix embodying heat. The brothers constantly declare themselves the "strongest combination."
He manifests as a large humanoid being formed of ice, with blue skin, distinctive purple facial markings, and upright light blue hair. His features include yellow eyes, a defined six-pack abdomen, and spiked protrusions on his right shoulder and left wrist.
Freezen exhibits a cold-hearted and treacherous nature, taking deep pride in his partnership with Frozen. Their preferred tactic involves psychologically manipulating other duos into conflict, successfully turning Cure Black and Cure White against each other using heart-freezing powers. However, this unity crumbles under pressure; facing defeat, Freezen and Frozen descend into mutual blame and arguments.
Their core mission is Hinata's elimination. Sensing the phoenix, they deploy a Zakenna to capture her. After this fails, they pursue the Cures to the Garden of Clouds. There, they imprison Hinata in an ice cage and initiate a freezing process across the garden, exploiting the environment to sow further discord among the Cures. As the battle intensifies, they nearly succeed in freezing Hinata and Shiny Luminous before the reunited Cure Black and Cure White intervene. The brothers overpower the Cures until Hinata empowers the heroes, enabling their transformation into Super Cure forms. This intervention leads to Freezen and Frozen's defeat and demise, accelerated by their loss of teamwork.
Freezen commands cryokinetic abilities, primarily channeled through the combined "Freezing Blizzard" attack. This technique merges his and Frozen's ice energy into a beam capable of freezing entire landscapes or bodies of water.
Beyond their initial film, Freezen and Frozen reappear in a later crossover, revived by the entity Black Hole. During this resurgence, they battle Cure Melody and Cure Rhythm, a separate two-member Cure team, and are ultimately defeated by the duo's "Passionato Harmony" attack.
