Description
Shuta Aoi, nicknamed Shu, is the son of Tokyo's 24th Ward Aoi Bakery owners. His exceptional athleticism stems from daily workouts. Before the main events, he patrolled the ward as the vigilante "Mr. 24," protecting its streets and residents.
His life shifted dramatically after the Takara Elementary School fire one year prior. Rushing into the burning building, Shuta attempted to rescue Asumi Suido, younger sister of his childhood friend Koki Suido. He failed; Asumi suffered fatal injuries shielding another friend, Kozue Shirakaba, and died in his arms. This traumatic failure caused him to abandon vigilantism and focus solely on the family bakery.
A year later, during a memorial for the fire victims, Shuta and his childhood friends Ran Akagi and Koki Suido received a simultaneous phone call from Asumi's number. This call granted them ocular abilities to visualize imminent life-threatening events minutes before they occur. Their first vision presented a trolley problem scenario involving friend Mari Sakuragi and a runaway train. Shuta became convinced this proved Asumi's continued existence in some form, motivating him to use this power to prevent tragedies.
