Billy Kametz was an American voice actor known for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series and video game localizations, active in the industry from 2016 until his passing in 2022. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and raised in Hershey, he initially pursued a career in stage performance, which included working on Disney Cruise Line and portraying Aladdin in the final run of Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular at Disney California Adventure in 2016. This move to Los Angeles marked the beginning of his transition into voice acting.
His breakthrough in anime came with the role of Josuke Higashikata in the Viz Media dub of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. This performance helped establish him in the industry and led to a prolific career voicing leading and supporting characters across a wide range of series. Kametz was represented by the AVO Talent agency throughout his voice acting career.
Kametz's filmography is extensive and includes many notable roles. He voiced the protagonist Naofumi Iwatani in the first season of The Rising of the Shield Hero, a performance that earned him the Best VA Performance (EN) award at the 4th Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2020.
