Description
Faust Münchhausen II is the deformed son of German scientist and Nazi occultist Münchhausen I. His family pursued the summoning of the powerful Kyō-Ō deity to achieve world domination. After his father's catastrophic 1944 ritual killed Adolf Hitler and led to execution, Münchhausen II retrieved the magical orb and secretly continued the occult work. Discovered at a Hitler Youth academy, he murdered the principal and sacrificed a secretary to summon the demon Kohoki. Through Kohoki, he learned of the three parallel worlds—Ningenkai (human), Makai (demon), and Jūjinkai (man-beast)—and the prophecy of the Chōjin, a supreme god destined to merge them. Münchhausen II concluded eliminating the Chōjin was essential for multiversal control.
Relocating to Tokyo by the 1990s, he built a Shinjuku portal to summon the Kyō-Ō. Believing human Tatsuo Nagumo was the Chōjin, he engineered a plane crash killing the parents of Nagumo's cousin, Takeaki Kiryū. Saving Takeaki with Nagumo's blood, Münchhausen psychically manipulated him into kidnapping women as sacrifices. He targeted man-beast Megumi Amano, whose bond with Takeaki threatened his control, and tried forcing Takeaki to kill her. When Megumi's brother, Amano Jyaku, intervened, Münchhausen deployed Kohoki. Amano Jyaku severed Münchhausen's limbs and destroyed the orb with a helicopter rotor, causing a portal explosion. Münchhausen survived using mechanical prosthetics to replace his eye, arm, and leg. He impaled Takeaki's corpse at the Jūjinkai's Gokumonkyō shrine, using its blood to activate the shrine idol for a future Kyō-Ō summoning.
Two decades later, after Nagumo's transformation as the Demon of Destruction caused an apocalypse merging the worlds, Münchhausen II adopted the alias "Faust." He allied with cyborg tyrant Caesar, enslaving the hybrid Makemono race and building an empire in Tokyo's ruins. To kill the Chōjin, they crafted the demon Negros from Nagumo's discarded heart, intending to merge it with the Kyō-Ō to create the weapon Faburil. Münchhausen replaced his orb with the Gokumonkyō idol's third eye, embedding it in his mechanical hand. He initially mistook the Makemono Buju for the Kyō-Ō but later identified the infant Himi as the true deity. After Nagumo attacked Himi, Münchhausen imprisoned her within the idol to merge with Negros. He supervised Caesar's nuclear missile launch toward the Chōjin's Osaka stronghold, personally riding one missile and battling Amano Jyaku midair to prevent interception. Though Faburil formed, the Chōjin destroyed it, ending Caesar's empire.
Following this defeat, Münchhausen's organic body deteriorated. He sought out Yoenki, sister of his rival Suikakujū, manipulating her into believing Amano Jyaku caused her brother's death. He allied with her to locate the Kyō-Ō, intending to consume its blood and ascend to godhood, viewing this as the culmination of his father's legacy.
