Exostriker, known as Zalam in the Japanese version, is a Mechtogan introduced in the series' second arc. It is one of four rogue Mechtogan that merge to form the powerful entity Mechtavius Destroyer. Exostriker possesses a protective outer skeleton designed to lure opponents while concealing its primary weapon: a dual blaster cannon capable of firing potent energy blasts. Thick shoulders equipped with spiked metallic blades enhance its offensive capabilities. Exostriker first appears alongside its companions within the combined Mechtavius Destroyer form, initially defeated by Dragonoid Destroyer. It returns for multiple battles against the Battle Brawlers. In "Countdown to Doomsday," Exostriker and the other Nomadic Mechtogan achieve victory over Dragonoid Destroyer and the Brawlers. Later, fully resurrected with enhanced elemental powers alongside Slycerak and Mandibor, Exostriker helps overpower the Brawlers in "Enemy Infiltration," forcing them off a cliff. Alongside Coredegon, Slycerak, and Mandibor, Exostriker combines into Mechtavius Destroyer once more in "Evil Evolution," defeating the Brawlers and banishing them to the Doom Dimension. Its story concludes in "End of the Line," where Dragonoid Destroyer destroys Exostriker alongside the other Nomadic Mechtogan. In merchandise and game representations, Exostriker is identified as #17. It features multiple attribute variants: Darkus (230 Gs), Subterra (200 Gs), Ventus, and a Haos version with Subterra-like coloring. The toy design incorporates seven BakuNano holes: one on the head, two on the back, and two on each arm. Exostriker remains an antagonist throughout its appearances, with no depicted individual character development or redemption arcs.
