Hodaka, a 26-year-old clothing designer, owns and operates the boutique "Galopine Et Galopin." A handsome yet quiet and reserved individual, his fashion designs have gained acclaim. His boutique serves as the central setting for much of the story.

He first encounters Kotobuki, a 14-year-old girl who falsely claims to be a 20-year-old college student to get closer to him. Hodaka remains guarded towards her initially. Their interactions increase after his friends, spotting them together at a cafe, jokingly dub Kotobuki his girlfriend. This leads Kotobuki to spend more time at the boutique, sometimes assisting with work while continuing her deception about her age.

Tension arises between Hodaka and Kotobuki when a young man named Kazuomi seeks part-time work at the boutique. Discovering Kotobuki's true age and ongoing deception strains their relationship, forcing Hodaka to confront the complexities of their dynamic. The narrative explores whether Hodaka can reconcile his feelings for Kotobuki despite her youth and the ethical implications of their connection.
