Description
Hajime Shiroishi, known as Ichi, endured brutal bullying throughout high school, fostering profound psychological instability. This period featured intense social isolation and traumatic peer interactions, including an incident where a girl named Tachibana tried defending him only to be ostracized and later raped. These events rendered him emotionally fragile, often exhibiting childlike behaviors incongruent with his adult physique.

His psychological profile reveals extreme reactions to confrontation, manifesting as uncontrollable crying and emotional breakdowns. Despite this fragility, he possesses advanced martial arts prowess and exceptional lower body strength, wielding customized boots equipped with concealed blades as weapons. Exposure to stressors echoing past traumas triggers a violent transformation, causing him to perceive aggressors as embodiments of his childhood bullies.

Manipulated by a figure called Jijii or "Old Geezer," Hajime was coerced into serving as an assassin targeting yakuza members. Jijii exploited his psychological vulnerabilities by implanting false memories and altering his recollections, cementing his compliance as a killing tool. This manipulation frequently involved crafting scenarios where Hajime saw his victims as representations of past tormentors.

Key incidents mark his descent. During a mission involving a female prostitute, his actions escalated unintentionally, resulting in her death despite initial protective intentions. His encounters with Kaneko's son, Takeshi, further destabilized him; initially hailed as a hero by Takeshi after intervening in bullying, he later caused Takeshi's father's death, breeding the child's disillusionment and hostility.

The violent spree culminated in Jijii's suicide after losing control over Hajime as a weapon. In later years, Hajime retired from active killing, displaying increased sociability and a changed appearance featuring longer hair. Despite this transition, his capacity for extreme violence remained latent, signaling unresolved psychological turmoil.
