Description
Misono Arisuin, also known as Misono Alicein, is the youngest member of the wealthy Alicein family. Born as the illegitimate son of Mikado Alicein and a tutor, he lived with his mother until her murder by Mikuni's mother, driven by jealousy. Mikuni's parents then took him in as atonement. He initially grew close to his older half-brother Mikuni, but their bond shattered after Mikuni killed their mother to protect Misono from her attempt on his life. To shield Misono, Mikado commanded his Servamp, Snow Lily, to erase and alter these memories, leaving Misono believing Mikado was his sole parent.
Physically frail and standing around 150-156 cm tall, Misono has short purple hair and narrow purple eyes, often described as delicate and pretty. He typically wears his Mikado Ichinose Academy uniform, featuring an asymmetrical jacket with inverted cross designs. His weak constitution frequently necessitates using a wheelchair or his Servamp's weaponized chair for mobility.
His personality is contradictory: outwardly arrogant, cold, and dismissive, he conceals an underlying kindness and deep care for friends. Childhood isolation and overprotection resulted in profound loneliness, making him intensely cherish friendships, especially his first genuine one with Mahiru Shirota. He exhibits childlike traits, including believing in Santa Claus, adhering to an early bedtime (9-10 PM), and fearing darkness or mundane discomforts like snow in his clothes – traits fostered by Mikado's deliberate infantilization. He is highly sensitive about his height, health, and perceived helplessness, fueling his desire to become strong enough to protect others. His stubbornness manifests in demanding specific answers and refusing to admit ignorance about common childhood experiences.
At age 15, following his grandfather's death, Misono encountered the seventh Servamp, Lust (All of Love/Snow Lily), in the Alicein garden. Using his inherited watch, he renamed the Servamp "Snow Lily" and formed a contract commanding him to protect the Alicein household. They share mutual care and deep trust, though Lily continuously manipulates Misono's memories to block recall of the east wing incident or Mikuni. Misono's combat ability, "The Execution Block of the Red Queen," conjures a chair between himself and Lily; this chair immobilizes targets, enabling Lily to damage their souls with a scythe. Despite minimal physical strength (rated 1/10), he possesses high tactical and leadership skills (rated 8/10).
The film "Alice in the Garden" explores pivotal developments. After unusual summer snowfall, Mahiru suggests collaborating with other Eves, but Mikado confines Misono. Attempting to sneak out triggers fragmented memories, prompting Lily to intensify memory manipulation. Lured by a puppet resembling Lily, Misono discovers the truth about the interference and severs their bond in anger. This allows Tsubaki's subclass, Otogiri, to destroy Lily's contract item, causing Lily to release destructive Jinn and absorb Misono into his inner world. There, Misono witnesses Lily's memories, uncovering his illegitimacy, his mother's murder, Mikuni's matricide to save him, and the cover-up. Initially devastated, believing his existence cursed the family, he finds solace in letters from his birth mother expressing joy at his birth. Reaffirming his bond with Lily, he stabilizes their contract. After this revelation, he asserts his resolve to fight alongside friends, prompting Mikado to acknowledge his maturity and request reconciliation with Mikuni.
His relationships include a complex dynamic with Mahiru, evolving from initial hostility (demanding Mahiru surrender his Servamp Kuro) to a strategic alliance and deep mutual trust. Misono trains with him and feels intense guilt when unable to protect him. With Tetsu Sendagaya, he shares a complementary partnership: Misono provides strategic leadership, while Tetsu offers physical strength and emotional insight. Misono reacts irritably to Tetsu's teasing about his height but relies on his support. Regarding Mikuni, Misono harbors resentment (calling him "idiot" or "bastard") due to Mikuni's abrupt departure, unaware of Mikuni's sacrifice until the film's events.
Outside combat, Misono enjoys chocolate fondant, chess, and reading in his garden. He dislikes crowds and maintains hobbies reflecting his sheltered upbringing.
