Movie
Description
Dr. Susan Rand, a doctor at the Federation for Extraterrestrial Research's Cosmic Biology Research Institute, holds multiple doctoral degrees including medicine. After graduating university at 18, she joined FER to research extraterrestrial biology. Rigorous and persevering, she maintains consistent passion for scientific exploration and serious work dedication, fueling high confidence and a strong demeanor—particularly toward those interfering with her research.

Initially hostile toward Scott Masterson and the Ultra Force following their battle with Garuballade, she accuses them of obstructing human alien research and reacts harshly to Scott’s perceived frivolity during their first encounter. Scott becomes drawn to her temperament, initiating further conversation that leads to a park meeting resolving their misunderstandings. There, Susan expresses disinterest in contacting extraterrestrial life, causing Scott to hesitate about revealing his Ultraman identity.

Her perspective evolves during encounters with Sorkin monsters. When Zoon appears in Utah, she risks her safety advocating for the National Guard to cease attacks, prioritizing non-lethal resolution—a request Ultraman Chuck fulfills by relocating Zoon. Later, she spearheads protection for a pink bunny-like New Mexico desert creature initially named Wylon. After Wylon rapidly grows into the destructive King Myra, Susan experiences deep guilt over her naivety and the resulting devastation, acknowledging her failure to recognize its true nature.

During King Myra’s New York attack, Susan deduces the Ultra Force members’ identities as Ultraman warriors. Boarding their Mothership, she deploys a "neural disruptor" device to neutralize biological bioelectric waves and paralyze the creature. This intervention critically enables the Ultra Warriors to defeat King Myra by hurling it into the sun.

Her romantic relationship with Scott develops through these events. He temporarily distances himself after fully accepting his fusion with Ultraman, but following the Ultra Force’s confirmation of permanent Earth residence, they reunite at the rebuilding research facility to formalize their relationship. Within FER, she is recognized as more sympathetic to the Ultra Force than her colleagues. Beyond the primary narrative, she appears in archival footage during "Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends," maintaining visual consistency without new narrative development.
