Description
Mandarin operates as one of the world's strongest supervillains from his fortified desert palace, locked in a longstanding but unspecified rivalry with Iron Man. When Rosetta Riley arrives, revealing Iron Man's Avengers membership and proposing an alliance against them, Mandarin agrees, seeing an opportunity to target his archenemy. They orchestrate a trap on Techno Isle: Mandarin unleashes destruction to lure the Avengers while Riley infiltrates disguised as security.

During the confrontation, Nova arrives first and mistakes Riley for a victim, enabling Mandarin's surprise attack that incapacitates Nova. As the Avengers respond, Mandarin concentrates his assault on Iron Man, using his ring-based powers defensively to hold other heroes at bay. The Avengers counter with coordinated teamwork; Thor, augmented by Hikaru Akatsuki's Build Up Armor, deflects Mandarin's most powerful attack. Facing defeat, Mandarin retreats, vowing vengeance against the entire Avengers team, expanding his focus beyond Iron Man.

In a later battle against Loki, Mandarin intervenes to prevent Loki from killing Iron Man, refusing to let another villain claim that victory. He temporarily allies with Silver Samurai, another Iron Man adversary, to hold off Loki. Their combined efforts buy Akira Akatsuki time to deliver the Kree Mact to Iron Man, enabling his victory over Loki. Mandarin's fate after this remains undisclosed.

Mandarin wields ten rings granting him various powers, often manifesting as projectile beams in combat, though the specific abilities of each ring are not detailed. His visual design incorporates armored elements reminiscent of *Iron Man: Armored Adventures*.
