Description
Lal'C Melk Mark commands the Topless Squad, humanity's elite defense force piloting advanced Buster Machines. She operates Buster Machine #19, "Dix-Neuf," the oldest active unit, boasting the highest recorded kill count against space monsters. This combat prowess places her among the revered "Idol" pilots, earning her the public nickname "princess" and acclaim as the Fraternity's ceremonial representative. Her status projects cool confidence and aloofness, masking underlying loneliness and a yearning for authentic friendship beyond idolization.

She initially reacts with annoyance to Nono, a newcomer who impulsively idolizes her as "Onee-sama." Nono's persistent optimism and determination gradually erode Lal'C's barriers, fostering trust. Lal'C confides secrets in Nono and begins to perceive—despite skepticism—latent potential within the unconventional girl. This bond softens Lal'C's distant demeanor.

During a massive conflict, Lal'C desperately telekinetically hurls Jupiter 2 at a black hole-wielding space monster, to no avail. Facing Earth's annihilation, she witnesses Nono transform into the mega-android DieBuster. Consumed by rage over Nono's departure, Lal'C attacks DieBuster, only for her Topless powers to permanently expire mid-assault. Dix-Neuf autonomously activates its true form, enabling Lal'C to reach its core cockpit. Reunited with Nono, freed from DieBuster, they execute a synchronized "Double Inazuma Kick" to destroy the space monster.

Post-battle, Nono gifts Lal'C an origami crane symbolizing hope and sacrifice before warping away with the black hole to save Earth. Dix-Neuf rescues Lal'C, who mourns Nono. Ten years later, Lal'C lives near Okinawa as an environmental advocate. Reflecting on Nono's sacrifice, she witnesses the return of legendary past pilots Noriko Takaya and Kazumi Amano, resolving to tell Noriko about Nono's life.

Lal'C mirrors Kazumi Amano's role as a respected ace pilot called "Onee-sama." Her journey diverges, transforming her from a detached, burdened idol into a vulnerable mentor and environmental advocate, profoundly shaped by loss and camaraderie.
