TV-Series
Description
Belial, originally named Yukari Sanjo, was born into the venerable Kazoku family. She co-founded the Kisaragi Corporation with her childhood friends Astaroth and Lilith, becoming one of its three Supreme Leaders and specifically heading the combat division.
Extensive enhancement surgeries performed by Lilith transformed her into "Belial the Great Flame," granting pyrokinesis—the ability to generate and manipulate fire—and superhuman physical capabilities. These procedures fractured her mind, causing significant memory loss and a drastic personality shift. Once a kind, reliable, and intellectual woman with black hair, she emerged flame-haired, impulsive, and overbearing. Post-surgery, Belial exhibits mood swings, inattentiveness, and demands absolute obedience, reacting violently to disobedience or failure. Despite this, she remains a dedicated workaholic, fostering team loyalty through occasional rewards and mentorship.
Possessing the highest power level in Kisaragi, Belial's primary ability is pyrokinesis, enabling fire manipulation and explosions equivalent to ten thousand tons of TNT, amplified by consuming nitro cartridges. She also emits lethal microwaves to heat cellular structures, an ability she disfavors. Her physical defenses and strength are exceptionally heightened.
In leadership, Belial participates in strategic decisions, such as assigning Agent Six to an interdimensional conquest mission—an assignment she openly desired but lost by dice roll due to poor luck. Later, during an Earth conflict lull, she personally visited the fantasy world, aiding Kisaragi agents against the Hiiragi Tribe and the Primordial Dragon Midgard. She temporarily vanished in the Darkwood before assisting in the battle at the Grunade Kingdom, where she ultimately recovered her lost memories.
Her relationships are complex: she views Agent Six as a "stupid younger brother," often unintentionally revealing confidential details to him. They previously shared an apartment, though Six frequently harassed her. With Astaroth, she maintains a teasing dynamic, particularly regarding Astaroth's crush on Six. Lilith, who performed the transformative surgeries, continues efforts to restore Belial's memories. Belial recruited Combat Agents F18 and F19 after encountering them during an accidental teleportation incident.
Belial enjoys motorcycle rides. Among the Kisaragi leaders, she has the largest cup size. Consuming nitro cartridges affects her brain similarly to alcohol. Despite being canonically the most popular leader within Kisaragi, she placed 14th in an internal popularity contest, below Lilith.
