Description
Satan Lucifer stands as the supreme embodiment of evil and the creator of vampirism, the cosmic opposite of God. This entity operates through multiple identities: Lucifer, Abaddon, Beelzebub, Belial, and Mephistopheles. He manifests as a towering red figure with pointed ears, glowing yellow eyes, and horns, wielding vast magical abilities and commanding Hell's forces.
Centuries ago, Satan identified Vlad III Dracula, the Transylvanian ruler known as the Impaler, drawn by his brutal methods defending his lands through impalement and his resulting despair. After Dracula died in battle from arrow wounds, Satan resurrected him as the first vampire during a storm, shattering his tombstone with hellish energy. The transformation altered Dracula's tattered armor into his signature black suit and granted vampiric abilities like bat transformation. Satan imposed limitations: aversion to crosses, holy water, and mirrors; vulnerability to sunlight and silver; an eternal blood thirst; and crucially, a prohibition against experiencing love to ensure isolation.
Over five centuries, Satan intermittently manipulated human lives serving his purposes, often targeting potential opponents. In modern times, he orchestrated the suffering of Dolores, a woman born with latent powers to resist him. He ensured her mother's early death, fostered her father's materialism leading to her recklessness, and guided her to join the Fellowship of the Black Mass near Boston. As the cult prepared to sacrifice Dolores as his bride, Dracula intercepted the ritual, impersonated Satan, and abducted her. This defiance enraged Satan, who appeared before the cult priest to reveal the deception and vow vengeance.
Satan retaliated with a multi-layered scheme. He directed the cult to wait one year before luring Dracula, Dolores, and their newborn son Janus to a baptism ceremony. The trap involved sealing the church with iron gates bearing crosses and having the priest shoot Janus. Though God resurrected the infant, aging him into adulthood to oppose Satan's forces, Satan later orchestrated Dolores's abduction during a storm, sending a smoke-like entity to seize her from Dracula's mansion. Concurrently, Satan manipulated Dracula's Transylvanian vampire allies into resentment and hindered vampire hunters—including Dracula's descendant Frank Drake and Abraham Van Helsing's associates—by misleading them during their year-long search across Boston and Brookline.
