Jolt is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Transformers: Cybertron continuity, part of the Recon Mini-Con Team with Reverb and Six-Speed. Summoned to Earth by Vector Prime after his contact with human children Lori, Coby, and Bud, Jolt scanned a helicopter alternate mode from mechanics magazines Coby dropped, adopting this Earth form. He displays intense curiosity and enthusiasm for Earth culture, spending extensive time absorbing human knowledge through internet surfing, webcomics, and trivia. This fuels a close friendship with Bud Hansen, whom he nicknames "Bud-Dude." Jolt wields the unique ability to generate "mini-dimension gates" via rotor manipulation—a skill taught by Vector Prime. This spatial warping enables short-range teleportation for himself and nearby beings, requiring rotor movement space and failing if rotors jam. Strategically vital, it saved Bud and Scattorshot during a lethal orbital fall by teleporting them to Autobot headquarters. His role emphasizes reconnaissance, data analysis, and tech support: designing base modifications, applying stealth coatings to hide headquarters, generating holographic drivers for refugee Autobots, and analyzing energy signatures like the "Atlantis Pattern" tied to the Omega Lock. His bond with the children defines his character. He joins their activities, attending movies disguised as a cosplayer and visiting their homes. During one excursion, he coordinated Mini-Con holograms of U.S. leaders to evade police. At the Hansen home, he discussed human family concepts while viewing photos. These outings sometimes merged with missions, like when seismic activity interrupted a sunset watch with Coby, prompting Jolt to identify an imminent geological collapse endangering Rockville. Jolt dedicated himself to locating the Omega Lock and Cyber Planet Keys to thwart the Unicron Singularity. He investigated online leads with Bud, scouting sites like a Mexican museum (aborted by Decepticon attack) and tropical islands. In the Sahara, he, Reverb, and Six-Speed perished defending an Omega Lock decoy from Megatron. A distraught Vector Prime reversed time, sparing them in the altered timeline. Jolt later helped uncover the true Omega Lock within the ancient Cybertronian starship Atlantis—source of the Atlantis Pattern—exploring its depths alongside Vector Prime and the children to retrieve the artifact. His missions expanded beyond Earth, accompanying Autobots to the Bermuda Triangle's ocean floor where Atlantis was discovered. After Vector Prime teleported the ship to the moon's shadow for safety, Jolt explored its interior. Following Omega Lock coordinate acquisition, he aided an Autobot civilian under Decepticon assault, discovering a stone inscription revealing the Jungle Planet's Cyber Planet Key location.
