Description
Myō, a 16-year-old from the “ear-clan,” possesses the species’ signature ability to conceal animal traits—yet his lively cat ears and tail stubbornly resist control. His mischievous curiosity drives playful chaos, from toppling objects to seeking constant attention, mirroring untamed feline instincts that demand vigilant supervision. Within his community, ear people evolve from kittens into human-like forms, but Myō’s visible traits mark him as an outlier. This tension deepens when his 19-year-old brother, Xia-Dong, arrives to retrieve him, clashing with Myō’s defiance of their society’s expectations.

Residing with a manga artist, Myō’s antics upend their routine, forging an unexpected bond rooted in reliance and shared growth. As he navigates human life, fragments of his origins emerge, intertwining his struggle to reconcile primal impulses with the complexities of his new world. His story balances playful rebellion, loyalty to his caretaker, and the quiet unraveling of identity—a youth teetering between instinct and belonging, his past and future lingering like shadows just beyond reach.
