Description
Roxanne "Roxie" Richter (sometimes spelled "Roxy") is Ramona Flowers' fourth Evil Ex and her only ex-girlfriend. They met as roommates and dated while attending The University of Carolina in the Sky, though Ramona later characterized the relationship as a "phase" or "bi-curious" period in certain adaptations.

In the graphic novels, Roxie operates an art gallery in Toronto. She reconnects with Ramona and temporarily stays with her. Believing Scott Pilgrim is undeserving and cowardly, Roxie launches assaults. These include a street fight where Scott accidentally punches her breast, a confrontation at The Happy Avocado restaurant where Ramona fights for Scott, and a dream invasion where Roxie severs Scott's arm. Scott ultimately defeats her using the Power of Love sword during a backyard duel, slicing her in half. She explodes into small animals, yielding no money.

The film adaptation portrays Roxy with heightened vengeance. She attacks Scott four times initially and later confronts him at the club "4". Ramona intervenes but is disarmed, maneuvering Scott like a puppet. Roxy is defeated when Scott touches the back of her knee (a weakness originally Envy Adams' in the comics), triggering an orgasm that dissolves her into coins.

Within the video game, Roxie appears as the World 4 boss. She wields a whip-sword, creates clones, and is aided by ninja enemies. Defeating her causes her to split apart and explode into collectible animals worth $24.95.

The anime "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off" significantly shifts Roxie's role. After Scott's disappearance, she attends a League of Evil Exes meeting and later challenges Ramona to a fight at the No-Account Video Store. Their battle spans multiple film genres, culminating in Ramona apologizing for leaving their relationship without explanation. This leads to reconciliation, with Roxie accepting Ramona's friendship. She subsequently appears at the "Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Musical" premiere, assists in battling an older Scott, and becomes Todd Ingram's coach, supporting his vegan powers by shouting encouragement through a megaphone.

Roxie possesses "half-ninja" abilities granting superhuman speed, teleportation via smoke clouds, Subspace travel, dream invasion, and film-exclusive invisibility. Her weapons include katanas (comics) and a razor-edged belt (film). Her appearance features dyed blonde hair in two buns, distinctive eye markings, and an Oni Press logo tattoo. She typically wears studded bracelets, multiple belts with sword sheaths, and outfits combining fishnet elements with punk-inspired jackets or sweaters.

Her personality blends combativeness with an inferiority complex rooted in her "half-ninja" status and Ramona's dismissal of their relationship. She exhibits protectiveness toward Ramona in the comics and graphic novels, though less so in the film. Thematically, she associates with the number four, reflected in her club name, attack patterns, and defeat visuals, and features pink "VS" icons during fights.
