Description
Hyrince Quarto, second son of Duke Quarto in the Analeit Kingdom, grows up as the spare heir to his noble house. His early bond with Julius, the kingdom’s second prince, evolves into a steadfast partnership when Julius is selected as the System’s Hero. As Julius’s squire, Hyrince carves his role as the party’s unyielding shield, mastering protective tactics and support magic to safeguard allies in battle.

When the demon army annihilates Julius and nearly the entire Hero party, Hyrince alone survives, revived by a Phoenix’s Feather. Haunted by failure, he returns to Analeit and swears allegiance to Shun, Julius’s younger brother and the new Hero. As Shun’s shield-bearer, Hyrince channels his lingering guilt into unwavering loyalty, determined not to repeat his past inadequacies.

Unbeknownst to him, Hyrince’s existence is shrouded in secrecy: he is a clone crafted from the Dragon God Güliedistodiez, designed to surveil the Hero lineage. The true Hyrince perished at birth, replaced by a vessel imbued with a soul by the Dragon God himself. This artificial origin binds him as a living terminal, his memories intermittently syncing with Güliedistodiez’s consciousness—a one-sided link that feeds the deity insights but denies Hyrince dialogue or control.

His combat expertise revolves around fortifying defenses, employing Healing Magic and Auditory Enhancement to intercept threats and sustain allies. Though his soul’s tether to the Dragon God grants fragments of ancient knowledge, it offers no tactical advantage, leaving him reliant on mortal skill.

Hyrince’s journey grapples with duality: a nobleman’s honor clashes with his manufactured purpose, while devotion to Shun mirrors his fractured bond with Julius. Survivor’s guilt and the weight of guiding a new Hero strain his resolve, yet he presses forward, navigating the paradox of humanity and divine artifice that defines his fractured identity.
