Kazuyuki Okitsu

Kazuyuki Okitsu is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on March 8, 1980, in Hyogo Prefecture. He is 175 cm tall and has blood type A. He is a graduate of the Osaka University of Arts, where he studied in the Department of Broadcasting. He began his career in 2000 and has been affiliated with the agency Kekke Corporation since May 2007.
His path to voice acting began early, inspired in elementary school by the diverse roles of voice actors in anime and educational programs. In high school, he was an active member of the broadcasting department, even winning first place in Hyogo Prefecture in the reading category of NHK's national high school broadcasting contest. He also served as the master of ceremonies for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 79th National High School Baseball Championship. After university, he gained experience in a theater company while attending voice actor training on weekends. His first professional voice role was a minor part in a documentary, and his anime debut was a student role in Moetan. His first role obtained through an audition was Hisamitsu Noto in Toradora!.
For a number of years, Okitsu's career consisted of many minor and supporting roles in anime and dubbing work. A significant turning point came in 2012 when he was cast as the protagonist Jonathan Joestar in the anime adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood. This high-profile leading role became one of his most iconic performances and opened the door to more prominent character roles. He has since become a familiar voice in a wide range of anime series. He has played Hatori Soma in the Fruits Basket reboot series, Gunzō Chihaya in Arpeggio of Blue Steel, and Taishiro Toyomitsu, also known as the hero Fat Gum, in My Hero Academia. Other notable roles include M in Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Nagare Hisui in the K project series, and Yuki in Run with the Wind.
