Description
Nagamasa Midori is the leader of the survival game team Hoshishiro, which has won the Top Gun Combat tournament four times in a row. He works as a doctor at a hospital alongside his teammates Fujimon and Ichi. He has dark green hair and grey eyes, and he presents himself with a polite, gentlemanly demeanor that makes a favorable first impression. In everyday life, he is a well-respected pediatrician. However, beneath this courteous exterior lies a calculating and brutal personality that emerges during survival games. He is known as The Invincible Emperor and takes pleasure in psychological warfare, deliberately dismantling the resolve of his opponents. He plays not only with his weapon but also with the emotions of his adversaries, a trait that makes him a feared competitor.

His motivations are tied to his love of the game and his desire to dominate. He was responsible for the trauma that caused the former female member of the Toy Gun Gun team to quit survival games. He and Masamune were once close partners, but Nagamasa ended their partnership after being told that Masamune was also a strong vanguard. The two have a fraught history, and Nagamasa is the reason Masamune participates in the TGC. He knows that Hotaru is a girl, having discovered this during a brief body check when helping her choose a gun, and he uses this knowledge as a form of leverage.

Within his own team, Nagamasa is the authoritative figure, and his teammates follow his lead. His relationships with the Toy Gun Gun members are antagonistic, especially with Masamune and Tooru, who resent him for past events. Despite his ruthless nature on the battlefield, he occasionally shows a measure of kindness outside of games, such as when he helped Hotaru. His abilities as a survival game player are exceptional, combining tactical cunning with a willingness to exploit psychological weaknesses. His past friendship with Masamune hints at a deeper, more complicated development, as the anime implies that he and Masamune were friends in their youth before Nagamasa’s turn toward a more ruthless approach.
