Description
Haraiso is a golem whose physical form displays significant deterioration, outer skin worn away to reveal the blackened membrane beneath. The witch Feodora Nebsolv created him during her time living among humans, crafting him as a protective guardian for a human settlement and gifting him to the community for their safety. Driven by his core directive to shield humans, he established a sanctuary called Haraiso village. To preserve the humans' sense of security and prevent fear of non-human entities, he fabricated the identity of a human nobleman, "Lord Haraiso," using this persona to interact with the villagers while concealing his true nature.
For an extended period, Haraiso successfully maintained both the village's safety and the deception of his human guise. However, stability fractured when the humans uncovered his true nature as a golem. This revelation triggered widespread fear and distrust, leading the villagers to abandon Haraiso village entirely. Despite their rejection and departure, Haraiso remained steadfast in his original purpose. He continued to protect the now-deserted village alone, persisting in his guardianship even with no humans left to safeguard.
His prolonged isolation and unwavering dedication took a visible toll on his physical form. Without maintenance or support, his body deteriorated further as he persisted in his role until his final days. His story, including the village's founding and abandonment, was recorded in The Chronicle of Haraiso. This text later became significant to other characters seeking knowledge about human history and settlements.
