TV-Series
Description
Hwa Ryun belongs to the Red Witch species, characterized by bright red hair reaching chest length and red eyes, alongside innate guiding abilities. She serves as a Guide for FUG, specifically for Jyu Viole Grace (Twenty-Fifth Baam) and Ranker Ha Jinsung. Though technically disqualified as a Regular after failing the 2nd Floor test, her Guide status grants her exemption from standard Floor tests, allowing free traversal of the Tower.

Originally depicted with both eyes, she later concealed her face with a jeweled mask among Regulars awaiting Lero-Ro's barrier test. Following an injury inflicted by Baam, she adopted an eyepatch, which she continues to wear regardless of the injury's status. She is noted as the most beautiful woman among Season 1 Regulars, a detail foreshadowing unrevealed significance.

Her role involves strategic manipulation to advance FUG's objectives. She operated under the alias "Yuto" during the Workshop Tournament and later guided Yuri Zahard and Khun Aguero Agnis's team on the 43rd Floor (Floor of Death). She emphasizes Baam's destiny as an Irregular capable of changing the Tower, declaring his potential to "fill the Tower with the blood of the King." Her guidance offers pragmatic and morally ambiguous counsel, dismissing sympathy or justice as insufficient for their goals.

She refers to Baam as "My God," using informal Korean that implies a personal pet name. Her interactions urge him to gain strength to protect his happiness, citing impending calamities and the need to overcome threats like Zahard's forces. She acknowledges Baam's unique path as a "New Path" unexplored by any Guide. Regarding Rachel, she identifies her as an unpredictable variable challenging Baam to consider his choices.

Her dialogue reveals a cynical worldview. She questions Wangnan's shock at FUG's ruthlessness: "Why are you so shocked? Did you really think we were nice people?" She criticizes Yeon Yihwa's inaction toward her family's corruption and tells Khun Aguero Agnis that "miracles never happen unless you are desperate." During the Nest arc, she contrasts Zahard's army's strength with Baam's latent potential, likening them to "shrimps against a giant shark."

Her name translates to "inferno wheel" or "lotus flower" in Korean. She operates as a behind-the-scenes schemer, wielding influence through secrecy and foresight distinct from "petty tricks."
