Description
Kaoruko Someya is a 24-year-old male identifying as an okama who owns the Shoyuusha no Bar. Measuring 1.75 meters tall with black hair and blue eyes, he is Kanou Somuku's childhood friend, their fathers having been close business partners. Despite initial disapproval from his father Kaoru regarding his lifestyle and career, Someya maintains a loving relationship with him and values family connections; his father becomes more accepting yet still offers occasional lectures.

Someya employs Yukiya Ayase part-time in his bar kitchen, advocating this arrangement to help Ayase become comfortable with homosexual relationships and improve Ayase's dynamic with Kanou. He actively mediates between Kanou and Ayase, offering counseling and advice. For instance, he gives Kanou a book titled "How to take care of small animals" to guide him in understanding Ayase. Someya speaks bluntly to Kanou without fear, often using informal terms like "danna" to address him.

His personality blends abrasiveness with genuine care, evident when defending his staff during a violent bar incident. Patrons attacked due to prejudice against the trans clientele; Someya and colleague Buruko initially escorted them out. After Buruko suffered a car accident, Someya left to assist her. When the attackers returned with reinforcements, Someya and his team, including Ayase, stood their ground. Ayase confronted the assailants about their bigotry, and Todoko protected him from physical harm, highlighting Someya's role in fostering a supportive environment.

Someya appreciates beauty and owns several expensive items, including a long-sleeved kimono valued at 3.3 million yen. He remains a stabilizing presence, providing practical support and emotional guidance to the central characters while navigating his own familial relationships.
