Description
Obā-san (grandmother) works as the pastry chef at Sweets Land, a confectionery shop central to the story. She is Mindy's grandmother, with Mindy serving as a young apprentice pastry chef who befriends protagonist Jackie. Sweets Land operates under Obā-san's culinary expertise, cementing her as an established confectionery figure. Her professional role enables Jackie's entry into pastry training alongside Mindy, following Jackie's encounter with Mindy and subsequent apprenticeship at the shop.

A conflict emerges when the village chief devises plans to seize Sweets Land, threatening her establishment and livelihood. Obā-san's presence anchors the shop as both a mentorship space for young characters and a target of external ambition.
