Ako Mayama is a Japanese voice actress known for her long and prolific career, specializing in character roles that range from young boys to elderly women. She was born Yasuyo Kawando on November 15, 1958, in Gifu Prefecture. She is a graduate of Toyo University. Prior to 2003, she was widely known by the stage name Rin Mizuhara. She is currently affiliated with Kenyu Office.
Mayama began her career in theater before transitioning to voice acting in her late twenties.
