Musuke Satou, nicknamed "Shorty," plays shortstop for the junior baseball team the Eggs. Entrusted by his mother to safeguard a sum of money, he impulsively loans it to two school troublemakers known as Tower and Dump. This decision lands him in trouble, forcing him to seek help from the pitcher's younger sister to resolve the predicament.
