Description
Tsumabiki is a Tsukumogami born from a musical instrument, serving within the Bureau of Traditional Music alongside companions Tsuzumi and Fukie. This trio aids Saenome exorcists in opposing harmful spirits. She operates under the Yachimata family, one of the three great Saenome clans. Her missions include investigating disruptions caused by other Tsukumogami, such as a paper umbrella spirit threatening Botan Nagatsuki. During a pivotal attack that destroys the Nagatsuki house and incapacitates its guardian Kushige, Tsumabiki and her allies intervene to protect Botan.

Tsumabiki displays fierce loyalty to the Marebito god dwelling within Botan. When this entity awakens and violently subdues nearby Tsukumogami, she kneels in resentful reverence. The god then kills Tsuzumi, deepening Tsumabiki's turmoil. Instead of abandoning her allegiance, she redirects her rage against the Nagatsuki family, demanding a "thrilling death" as retribution for her losses and shattered convictions.

In subsequent clashes, Tsumabiki and Fukie battle the Nagatsuki spirits. Both are ultimately defeated and slain in the conflict.
