Description
Suzuno Kamazuki, originally Crestia Bell, served as Chief Inquisitor for the Church of Ente Isla under Father Olba Meyer. In this role, she assassinated heretics designated by the Church, including poisoning traitorous Allied Knights Order members before executing them with her mallet. She despised these duties but initially justified them through faith. Witnessing the Church's corruption and political maneuvering, particularly the High Priests' cowardly decision to scapegoat Olba and disband the Inquisition after public backlash, shattered her trust. The Church reformed the Inquisition as the Doctrinal Corrections Council with her as its head.

Dispatched to Earth alongside Archangel Sariel to eliminate the Demon King Satan (Sadao Maou), she relied on outdated historical dramas for cultural preparation. This led to misconceptions about modern Japan, resulting in her exclusive adoption of traditional clothing like kimonos. Using the alias "Suzuno Kamazuki" – derived from "crescent moon" (鎌月) and "bell" (鈴乃) – she rented the apartment next to Maou's at Villa Rosa Sasazuka. To infiltrate his circle, she posed as a kindly neighbor, gifting large quantities of udon, assisting with chores, preparing meals, and teaching Lucifer (Urushihara) domestic skills. This facade misled Emi Yusa (Emilia) into suspecting romantic feelings for Maou, though Maou remained suspicious.

Her true intentions unraveled when she misinterpreted Emi's warnings about Maou as an alliance offer. A pivotal shift occurred witnessing Sariel brutally torture Emi and Chiho Sasaki and observing Maou risk his life to protect them. This confrontation, coupled with her existing disillusionment, prompted her defection. She abandoned her assassination mission, choosing instead to remain on Earth to independently judge Maou. She later accepted the title of Demon General within Maou's forces, demonstrating greater comfort with this role than Emi or Chiho, using it to command respect among demon subordinates like the Malebranche.

Physically petite at 152 cm tall, she has long navy blue hair typically in a side ponytail secured by a red flower clip (disguising her weapon), aqua-colored eyes, and a youthful appearance belying her confirmed age of over 20. She rarely discusses her age. Her attire consistently reflects her preference for traditional clothing, favoring a midnight blue kimono with a yellow obi and lime green obijime, even after learning modern fashion is Japan's norm.

Her background as an executioner contributes to a typically serious, blunt, and deadpan demeanor, often perceived as insensitive. She retains a politically pragmatic mindset from her Inquisition days, sometimes clashing with Emi's idealism by viewing bloodshed as occasionally unavoidable. Despite her violent past, inherent kindness surfaces through her doting behavior towards the demons and genuine friendships with Emi and Chiho. She struggles with modern technology, experiences culture shock, and fainted upon encountering Tokyo's dense urban environment. Her speech remains formal and archaic, reflecting her outdated learning materials.

As Crestia Bell, she wielded Celestial Force, granting abilities like inducing sleep, manipulating memories, erecting barriers, and significantly enhancing physical strength to wield her giant mallet effortlessly. Her primary weapon remains this mallet, concealed as her hair clip.

Her development centers on transitioning from conflicted Church assassin to independent ally. She lives alongside Maou's group in Japan, maintaining vigilance over him while integrating into their lives. She continues wearing traditional clothing despite cultural differences and navigates her moral evolution, balancing her pragmatic outlook with growing loyalty to her newfound friends.
