Ryūta Ichinose is a 15-year-old male high school student with turquoise hair, attending the same school as Saneatsu Narita. He serves as Saneatsu's best friend, a connection that places him within the central group confronting the deadly survival game "Tasūketsu" when it engulfs their school. Orchestrated by the mysterious Emperor, Tasūketsu forces participants into life-or-death decisions through midnight majority votes where the majority faces death. Ryūta strives to survive and defeat the Emperor alongside Saneatsu and classmates like Saaya Fujishiro. As part of this group of young men and women, he navigates the game's dangerous mechanics and utilizes mysterious special abilities known as "Privileges" or "Special Rights" to resist the system and carve out their futures. His role centers on this participation and his established friendship with the protagonist, Saneatsu Narita.
